MY SECRET TO A GENKI LIFE:
There are three things that I do every day without fail that help ensure I keep peace, harmony and happiness in my very busy life.
1. Firstly its about making sure that I nourish my mind and body with good food. By good I mean non-processed, organic where I can, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables so that I am getting all the nutrients I need. Although every person is different and I am not proposing one diet over another, for me a vegan lifestyle works. It’s taken years of trial and error to understand my body and what makes me feel good.
2. Being grateful. My boyfriend and I have a ritual. Every day we send each other a note of gratitude to express what we are grateful for from the universe but also with each other. You can’t help but smile when you send and receive these messages.
3. Giving. I get huge satisfaction in my life by giving to others. As another ritual I try to complete one act of kindness each day, it might be for a friend or it might be for a stranger. Some days it’s as simple as buying a coffee for my colleague on the way to work or picking a flower and giving it to a stranger. And it’s giving without an expectation of something in return.
