my secret to a genki life:
taking time out for myself. I always make sure to take one hour (at least) to myself each day. This means without other people, (especially) without my phone, and even without my dog who I love so dearly! This is something I’ve only been practicing for one year – and it has helped me so much!
This is to give myself time to be mindful with exactly what I am doing at that time, whether it be sitting on the beach, going for a slow walk or practicing yoga. I find that my attention is somewhere else for 99% of my life – which is no different to anyone else I assume! The business is busy, and somewhat manic at times so being caught up in that can make everything feel so fast paced. This hour each day helps me to reconnect, slow down and ground myself.
