MY SECRET TO A GENKI LIFE:
what I have recently understood the full meaning of is ‘feel the feels‘. I’ve been going through a time of uncertainty which has brought on anxiety. But I decided that this time, I wasn’t going to make an enemy of what’s going on inside me. I decided to allow myself to feel all of it instead of distracting myself with activities or environments that are not aligned with my truth. I have been observing the waves of heat and pressure in my throat and chest as they spontaneously come over me and then slowly fade away. It’s been incredibly empowering. It feels like the ultimate act of unconditional self-love. I don’t desire to fix myself, only to move toward what serves me. Sometimes that’s a yoga class or a run, or just eating something nourishing. But feeling everything has really shifted so much for me. Any emotion is impermanent – so to really feel into what’s going on is an incredible experience of peaceful mastery of my humanness.
